Call the Times

I'm a frequent reader of the N.Y. Times, and was really appalled by a recent article run on a December 23 Sunday, front page entitled "Strong Support Is Found for Ban on Gay Marriage" (see 12/23 entry). There have been many articles in other publications outlining the problems with the article, but I think I like the Washington Blade for it's pluck in calling for an accounting by the NY Times staff. For whatever reason, the Times' article really tilts the story to an anti-equal rights for Gay Americans stance.

Make a call to the NY Times, or email public@nytimes.com to Dan Okrent (Ombudsman).

I wonder if anyone's going to tell the truth in all this craziness over a simple thing like ensuring that all Americans are afforded the same rights. I promise I will try, but you know my bias, I would like my partner to have the knowledge that—in the midst of any argument, or low point in finances or health—I have made a commitment that really means something.
